Carter Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Coletta Elizabeth Burkemper A Mass of Christian Burial for Coletta Elizabeth Burkemper of O'Fallon, MO (formerly of Old Monroe, MO), were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church officiated with a burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Cletus Wuelling, Jr., James Wuelling, Wayne Wehde, Rich Herman, Henry Diederich and Paul Burkemper. Mrs. Burkemper, 92, died Wednesday morning, March 22, 2006 at Delmar Gardens in O'Fallon, MO. Born December 4, 1913 in Old Monroe, MO, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Niemeyer Wehde, Jr. She was united in marriage on February 12, 1935 in Old Monroe, MO to Raymond J. Burkemper. This union was blessed with two daughters: Martha and Rita. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was active in the Immaculate Conception Church and the I.C.C. Quilting Group. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Katherine Wehde, Jr.; one daughter, Martha Katherine Wuelling who passed away in 1988; three brothers: Clarence Wehde, Ralph Wehde, Sr. and Herman Wehde; five sisters: Caroline Burkemper, Veranda Hermann, Dolores Diederich and two infants; and her beloved husband of 64 years, Raymond J. Burkemper who passed away October 14, 1999. Survivors include one daughter: Rita Glosier and her husband, Gerald, of O'Fallon, MO; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe, MO.
