Obituary of Freda Anna Caroline Stillman

Freda Anna Caroline Stillman Funeral services for Freda Anna Caroline Stillman of Winfield, MO were held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home. Rev. Don Bizer, interim pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO officiated with burial in St. Paul UCC Cemetery near Old Monroe, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Tim McElroy, Denny Beckemeier, Brian Franke, Christopher Lawrence, Marc Lawrence and Michael Franke; and honorary pallbearers were Paul Franke, Paul Freese and Butch Westhoff. Mrs. Stillman, 96, died early Tuesday morning, March 21, 2006 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO. Born March 28, 1909 in Winfield, MO, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Caroline "Mary" Elizabeth Young Beckemeier. She was united in marriage on July 3, 1927 in Old Monroe, MO to George Frederick Stillman. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, was an avid gardener, and loved to cook. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Caroline Beckemeier; four brothers: George Ossenschmidt, William George Beckemeier, Albert Beckemeier and Ted Beckemeier; one sister, Annie Ossenschmidt; her son-in-law, Eugene Franke in 1999; and her beloved husband of 45 years, George Stillman, who died August 26, 1972. Survivors include one daughter, Ginger Carol Franke of Winfield, MO; four grandchildren: Brian Franke and his wife, Sheryl, of Lee's Summit, MO, Rochelle McElroy and her husband, Tim, of Winfield, Sandra Beckemeier and her husband, Denny, of Olathe, KS, and Valerie Franke of Winfield; seven great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. Friday until time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
