Obituary of Anna Laura Hardesty

Anna Laura Hardesty Funeral services for Anna Laura Hardesty of Elsberry, MO, were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Michael Lockhart, pastor of the Elsberry United Methodist Church, officiated with burial in Asbury Cemetery near Snow Hill/Brussels in rural Lincoln County, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Brent Wilson, Greg Casalone, David Colbert, Pat Robertson, Max Rockwell and Allen Siders. Ms. Hardesty, 91, died early Friday morning, April 14, 2006 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO. Born March 2, 1915 near Elsberry, MO, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Dudley and Virginia Lovelace Miller Hardesty. She was a 1933 graduate of Troy High School. She was employed for many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Gion Wilson and Dr. Greg Casalone in Elsberry, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Elsberry United Methodist Church in Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Virginia Hardesty; and one sister, Mary Genevieve Strawhun. Survivors include several cousins: Stan Miller and his wife, Lesa, of Elsberry, Lucy Miller Stoll of Louisville, KY, Eva Foley Hoffman of Foley, MO, Gerry Swarts and her husband, Leon, of Louisville, KY, Judith Reed and her husband, Bill, of Italy, and Susan Burks of Buffalo, NY; other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials can be made to the Elsberry United Methodist Church or the Joseph R.
