Obituary of Christopher Wayne Hudgens

Funeral Services for Christopher Wayne Hudgens of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Mike Crowson of Fulton, MO, will officiate with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Mooney, Dan Lang, Austin Hudgens, Bryan Betts and Sami Mooney. Mr. Hudgens, 48, passed away Friday morning, February 28, 2020 at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, MO. Born September 1, 1971 in St. Louis, he was the son of Larry Wayne Hudgens and Sandra Genean Shepherd. He worked in Maintenance for McDonalds in O’Fallon, MO. Survivors include his children: Alyssa Allemann, Austin Hudgens and Jayden Hudgens, all of Elsberry; three grandchildren: Kevin and Laynee Allemann and Payzley Copeland; and his parents: Sandra Lay of Elsberry and Larry Hudgens of St. Louis. Chris also leaves his girlfriend, Starr Locke of Elsberry; one brother, Don Lay of St. Charles, MO; one sister, Malinda Dorenkamp and her husband, Paul, of St. Peters, MO; his God-Daughter, Taylor Mooney; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
