Obituary of Dennis Eugene Bray

Funeral services for Dennis Eugene Bray of Silex, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, MO will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. Mr. Bray, 65, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born January 24, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Eugene and Lida Mae Brown Bray. Dennis was employed for many years at Ameriwood Industries in Wright City, MO. He enjoyed classic rock music, movies, baseball and basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lida Bray; one brother, Ricky Bray; and one sister, Deborah Halcomb. Survivors include three children: Joseph Bray and his wife, Rhonda, of Wentzville, MO, Aaron Bray and his wife, Grace, of Troy, MO, and Kyle Bray of Palm City, FL; and six grandchildren: Jemma Elise Bray, Cameron Daniel Eugene Bray, Liam James Green, Caliann Dolores Green, Stella Mae Bray and Jack Robert Bray. He also leaves one sister, Karen Rockers of Winfield; one aunt, Anna Ray Emily of Potosi, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020.
