Obituary of Amanda Beth Ray

***Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions advised by the Federal and State Government, the Lincoln County Health Department and the CDC, Mandy Ray's Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2020 (at this time). You MUST maintain the 6 foot social distancing guideline AND a mask is REQUIRED to attend.*** A Memorial Service for Amanda Beth “Mandy” Ray of Louisiana, MO will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Mark Payne, pastor of Calvary Chapel in Winfield, will officiate. Inurnment will be held in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO at a later date. Mandy, 35, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her home. Born August 26, 1984 in Creve Coeur, MO, she was the daughter of Thomas Paul Ray and Lori Jean Miller Ross. Mandy graduated as Salutatorian of her class from Elsberry High School in 2003. She went on to work as a Nurse’s Aide. Mandy loved to fish and spend time at the river. She loved animals, especially dogs. Her children were the pride of her life. She was preceded in death by her step-brother, Patrick Quinn. Survivors include her parents: Lori and Eddie Ross of Foley, MO, Thomas Ray of Elsberry and Carol Ray of Elsberry; and her siblings: Holly Ray of Crestone, CO, Jamie Ray of O’Fallon, MO, Angel Ray of Elsberry, Kimberly Croxville of Columbia, MO and Jason Ross of Foley; and two step-sisters: Christy Rathert and her husband, Justin, of St. Louis, MO and Katie Ross and her husband, Joe, of Hawk Point, MO. Mandy also leaves two children: Kyle Thomas and Rylie Amanda; several nieces; many cousins, other relatives and friends. A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Memorials may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, P.A.L.S.
