Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Harding

Funeral Services for Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Harding of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Jeff Gordon, pastor of Elsberry Holiness Church and Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of Whiteside Holiness Church, in Whiteside, MO, will officiate with burial in Old Alexandria Cemetery near Troy, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Evan Wilson, Nolan Wilson, Hank Rockwell, Jacob Gordon, Brent Rockwell, Seth Miller, Ty Rockwell and Jerry Baker. Ms. Harding, 62, passed away Sunday morning, February 13, 2022, at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born July 29, 1959 at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy, MO she was the daughter of Joseph Aaron and Helen May Downing Harding. Libby worked for many years doing in home care. A lifelong resident of Elsberry, Libby loved spending time rocking the special children in her life. Libby was blessed with one sister, Rachel, who she helped raise from the age of six and one daughter, Helen Jolene “Joni” Harding. She was a member of Elsberry Holiness Church. When Libby wasn’t caring for the elderly or rocking her special children, she loved to scrapbook and put together puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Helen Harding; one brother, Joey Harding; her loving cousin, Charles “Bobcat” Austin; and her special friend, Glen Lorton. Survivors include her daughter, Joni Harding of Elsberry; her dear sister, Rachel Harding of Elsberry; and all of her special children who she loved so dearly. Libby also leaves her loving church family and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to the Family of Elizabeth Harding to assist with final expenses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
