Carter-Ricks Funeral Home Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Rita Joyce Roettjer Funeral services for Rita Joyce Roettjer of Foley, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Jerome Gennaria, pastor of Open Door Baptist Church in Overland, MO, officiated with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Wade King, Timmy King, Steve Hall, Travis King, David Prinster, Jerry Bartley, Johnny King and Jimmy King. Mrs. Roettjer, almost 52, died Monday morning January 15, 2007 at her home near Foley. Born January 21, 1955 in Winfield, KS, she was the daughter of Derrell and Violet Jackson King. She was united in marriage on August 22, 1992 in House Springs, MO to James "Jim" Lyle Roettjer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Derrell and Violet King, and one daughter, Lisa who died as a toddler in 1973. Survivors include her beloved husband of 14 years, Jim Roettjer, of Foley; one daughter, Stephanie Muich and her fianc�, Roy Turnbull, of Foley; and one granddaughter, Katie Turnbull. She also leaves five brothers: Johnny King and his wife, Jayne, of St. Louis, Don King and his wife, Mary, Ronnie King and his wife, Julie, Larry King and his wife, Darlene, and Jimmy King, all of Foley; three sisters: Bonnie King and Connie King, both of St. Louis, and Sharon King and her husband, David, of Foley; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
