Obituary of Donnie L. Briscoe

Donnie Louis Briscoe Funeral services for Donnie Louis Briscoe of Winfield, Missouri will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Rick Koonce, pastor of the Mid-America Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Mr. Briscoe, 68, died late Friday evening, February 16, 2007 at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born May 23, 1938 near Annada, MO, he was the son of Louie and Mabel Lee Taylor Briscoe. He was united in marriage on July 11, 1970 in Winfield to Mary Alice Reichle. He was a member of and employed for 30+ years through the Laborers Union, Local #660 in St. Charles, MO, retiring in 2000. He was most currently employed as a custodian at Winfield Schools. He was a member of the Mid-America Baptist Church in Winfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Mabel Briscoe; and one step-son, Kenneth Lee Awe. Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Mary Briscoe of Winfield; one daughter, Jodi Williams and her husband, John, of St. Peters, MO; one step-son, Greg Awe and his wife, Amber, of Fort Pierce, FL; two step-daughters, Susan Johnson and her husband, Cortney, of Fort Pierce, FL, and Linda Cramer of Winfield; one grandson, Trent Williams; and six step-grandchildren: Holly Cramer, Michael Cramer, Somer Awe, Cody Awe, K.V. Awe and Nate Johnson. He also leaves one brother, Billy Bob Briscoe and his wife, Aggie, of Robertsville, MO; one sister, Betty Meyer of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
