Obituary of Alfred Thomas Dunn

Funeral Services for Alfred Thomas Dunn of Troy, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Scott Groshong, pastor of Corinth Christian Church near Foley, MO, will officiate with burial in Corinth Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Homer Riffle, Charlie Riffle, Rodney Riffle, Randy Howard and Phillip Riffle. Mr. Dunn, 84, passed away early Monday morning, February 6, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy. Born July 11, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Elmer Wilfred and Lela Lora Dowdy Dunn. Alfred was united in marriage on November 19, 1967 in Foley to Elsie Ethyl Riffle. He worked in maintenance for Magruder Limestone, Co., retiring after 38 years, and as a Custodian for Drug Package, retiring after 28 years. He was a member of Corinth Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lela Dunn; one brother, Raymond Dunn; and his beloved wife of 54 years, Elsie Dunn, who died on January 20, 2022. Survivors include one brother, Danny Dunn of Warrenton, MO; one sister, Delores of Iowa; many in-laws, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
