Obituary of Kaitlyn Marie Gowen

Funeral Services for Kaitlyn Marie Gowen of Troy, MO will be at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of the Elsberry First Christian Church in Elsberry, MO will officiate. Kaitlyn, 18, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at her home in Troy. Born November 6, 2004 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Jason Gowen and Stephanie Lindner Gowen. Kaitlyn was lovingly known to her family as “KK”, “Cupcake”, and “Cake”. Growing up, Kaitlyn was active in competitive dancing, softball and fishing. She worked for Sonic in O’Fallon, MO. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Heath Cooper; and step-grandfather, Gary Irvin. Survivors include her parents, Jason Gowen and Stephanie Gowen, both of Troy, MO; and her brother, Cooper Aubuchon of Troy. Kaitlyn also leaves her maternal grandparents: Anna Irvin of Troy and Steve Cooper and his wife, Marilyn, of Jonesburg, MO; her paternal grandparents: Nancy Summers of Poplar Bluff, MO and David Gowen and his wife, Christine, of Troy; special Nana, Mandy Greco; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
