Obituary of William Monroe Drew, Jr.

Funeral Services for William Monroe Drew, Jr., of Winfield, MO, will be held at 2:00 PM on August 19, 2023 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Madonna McDonald will officiate with burial at Bethany Cemetery near Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Meyers, Drew Meyers, Joe Pitti, Bobby Gwaltney, Mark Hamilton and Joey Carroll. Bill, 82, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of William Monroe Drew, Sr. and Grace McDaniel Drew. He was united in marriage to Shirley Mattingly until her death. This union was blessed with two daughters, Kelly and Carie. He was married again on July 3, 1996, to Toni Wimberly Clarke who brought two more daughters to the family, Vicki and Robin. We feel blessed that our family has grown to what it is today. Bill was an amateur radio operator and a member of the NRA. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Bill worked as an expediter supervisor for McDonnell Douglas, retiring in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents, William, Sr, and Grace Drew. Survivors include his beloved wife of 27 years, Toni Drew of Winfield, MO, four daughters: Kelly Meyers and her husband, Brad, Carie Schinker and her husband Bob, Vicki Pitti and her husband Joe, and Robin Hamilton and her husband Mark, nine grandchildren, Drew, Emma, Nicole, Danielle, Michelle, Amanda, Bobby, Samantha and Joey, and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Hadley and Parker. Bill also leaves other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 19,2023 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home.
