Obituary of Helen L. Bury

Helen Louise "Lou" Bury A Celebration of Life for Helen Louise "Lou" Bury of Foley, MO was held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Family and friends lead the memorial celebration. Mrs. Bury, 79, died early Saturday morning, May 26, 2007 at the home of her son near Foley. Born February 9, 1928 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Richard A. and Isabelle Judy Jobe Caldwell. She was united in marriage on October 14, 1946 in St. Louis to Thomas Willis Bury, Jr. This union was blessed with three sons: Bruce Thomas, Richard Emil and Michael Wayne. She was employed for many years as a day-shift supervisor at the Tamara Foods Onion Factory in Old Monroe, retiring in 1983. Mr. & Mrs. Bury lived in Edinburg, TX from 1988 until 2005 when they returned to the Old Monroe area to be near family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Isabelle Caldwell; two brothers: Billy Joe Caldwell and Junior Caldwell; two sons: Bruce Bury and Michael Bury; and her beloved husband of 59 years, Tom Bury, Jr. who died May 5, 2006. Survivors include one son, Rick Bury and his wife, Tammie, of Foley; one granddaughter, Angel Queen and her husband, Joey, of Gastonia, NC; three great-grandchildren, Cheltsee, Daisy May and Morgan Queen; several in-laws, other relatives and many friends. The family received visitors from 6:00 p.m. until time of the service at 8:00 p.m. at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
