Obituary of Gary Robert Robbins

Funeral Services for Gary Robert Robbins of O’Fallon, MO will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Deacon Neal Westoff of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe, MO. Gary, 74, passed away early Saturday morning, January 27, 2024 at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, MO. Born March 17, 1949 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Robert Robbins and Catherine Hollinger Bowling. Gary was a 1968 graduate of Hazelwood Central High School. Gary served his country in the United States Marine Corps, from November 14, 1968 until his honorable discharge on August 20, 1971. He went on to attend Florissant Valley Community College. Gary was united in marriage on September 4, 1976 in Florissant to Margaret Yvonne Spyers. This union was blessed with three children: Medina, Jason and Rhiannon. Gary worked as a glacier for Winco Manufacturing, retiring in 2000. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Robbins and Catherine Bowling; and one granddaughter, Kara Westhoff. Survivors include his beloved wife, Yvonne Robbins of O’Fallon; their children: Medina Norris of O’Fallon, Jason Robbins and his wife, Jamie, of Clarksville, MO and Rhiannon Westhoff and her husband, Tim, of Winfield, MO; five grandchildren: Kyle Norris, John Stassi, Luke Westhoff, Layla Westhoff and Lorelei Westhoff; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to P.A.L.S.
