Obituary of Lois Marie Baker

Graveside Services for Lois Marie Baker of Olney, MO will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Olney Cemetery in Olney. Pastor David Klee will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby, Dakota, Rob, Brandon, Zach and Kevin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kennet, Jr., Joseph, Wyatt, Brooklyn, Katie, Kristopher, Hayley and Jaylyn. Lois, 74, passed away Thursday morning, April 11, 2024 at St. Peters Manor in St. Peters, MO. Born September 29, 1949 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Raymond “Ray” and Ruby DeLois Martin Stonebarger. Lois was united in marriage on October 29, 1981 in Troy, MO to Charles Alvin Baker, Jr. Their home was blessed with three children: Delia, Kristina and Douglas. Lois worked as a LPN for Lincoln County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Olney Methodist Church. Lois was a member of Silex Lions Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, greenhouses, crafts, craft shows, making jellies and breads. Lois loved listening to Prince, Rod Stewart and Elton John. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ruby Stonebarger; two brothers: James R. Stonebarger and Gilbert Stonebarger; one sister, Phyllis K. Stonebarger; and her beloved husband, Charles Baker, Jr., who died March 18, 2006. Survivors include three children: Delia D. Marshall and her husband, Charles, of Bowling Green, MO, Kristina I. Murray and her husband, Robert Resto, of Wentzville, MO, and Douglas A. Murray of Olney; sixteen grandchildren: Krystal, Christopher, Kennet, Jr., Bobby, Dakota, Brianna, Destinee, Chrissie, Caitlyn, Kaylea, Brandon, Kristopher, Kevin, Hayley, Katie and Jaylyn; and many great-grandchildren with another on the way. Lois also leaves her beloved dog, Ella; her best friend, Mary Lee Webb of Troy, MO; numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
