Obituary of Elsie Marie Schulte

Memorial Services for Elsie Marie Schulte of Troy, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy. Rev. Garry McCracken, church pastor, will officiate. Graveside inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Elsie, 91, passed away Tuesday night, April 23, 2024 at her home. Born April 10, 1933 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Alvin and Edna Ostmann Amrein. Elsie was one of the last two surviving members of the 1951 graduating class of St. Charles High School. She was united in marriage on February 20, 1954 in St. Charles to Robert Joseph “Bob” Schulte. This union was blessed with four children: Thomas, Todd, Teresa and Trudi. Elsie was a member of the Red Hat Society and of Trinity Lutheran Church. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Edna Amrein; one brother, Alvin Amrein; her infant sister, Ruth; and her beloved husband of 54 years, Bob Schulte, who died on November 14, 2008. Survivors include her children: Thomas Schulte and his significant other, Carole, of Winfield, MO, Todd Schulte and his wife, Rhonda, of Winfield, Teresa Moreland and her husband, Ed, of Fredericktown, MO and Trudi Wilmoth and her husband, Steve, of O’Fallon, MO; seven grandchildren: Jeremy and Michael Moreland, Jill Sasfai, Scott Wilmoth, and Eric, Kyle and Alex Schulte; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Elsie also leaves other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
