Obituary of Mary Isabel Crenshaw

Funeral services for Mary Isabel Crenshaw of Winfield, MO will beheld at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Carson, Chad Keeteman, Kevin Berrey, Ron Tiller, Jason East, Dan Foley, Jack Allen and Michael Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers will include Darryl Girardier, Devoid Bacon and Gerald Tayon. Mrs. Crenshaw, 88, passed away Sunday morning, March 9, 2008 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born April 21, 1919 in Foley, MO, she was the daughter of Obie Samuel and Susie Matilda Allen Meadows. She was a graduate and Valedictoria; n of the Winfield High School class of 1937. She was united in marriage on October 28, 1939 in Foley to Lloyd Cecil Crenshaw. This union was blessed with three children, Linda, Jimmy and Glenda. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winfield for 68 years and served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a Training Union Director, and a member and director of the Women's Missionary Union. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Obie and Susie Meadows; and her beloved husband of 59 years, Lloyd Cecil Crenshaw, who died December 27, 1998. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Crenshaw and his wife, Charlotte, of Winfield; two daughters: Linda Carson and her husband, John, of Winfield, and Glenda Keeteman and her husband, Randy, also of Winfield; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Clifton Meadows of Galesburg, IL; one sister, Genevieve Crenshaw of Gower, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
