Obituary of Sherry Lindsey

Funeral services for Sherry Lou Lindsey of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Rick Koonce, pastor of Mid-America Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. Mrs. Lindsey, 52, died Saturday afternoon, March 8, 2008 at her home near Winfield. Born June 5, 1955 in Chippewa Falls, WI, she was the daughter of Asa Louis and Zena Calora Snow Paine. She was united in marriage on December 28, 1974 in San Diego, CA to Jeffrey Johnson Lindsey. She graduated in 1973 from Amery High School in Wisconsin and later received an Associates Degree in Accounting from Baker College. She was employed as a bus driver for the Winfield School District. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Zena Paine; one brother, Robert Paine; and one sister, Peggy Wirth. Survivors include her beloved husband of 33 years, Jeffrey Lindsey of Winfield; and one son, Steven Lindsey and his wife, Brandy, of Oxford, MI. She also leaves seven brothers: Charles Paine, Sr. and his wife, Rhonda, of Eau Claire, WI, Malcolm Paine and his wife, Kay, of Cameron, WI, Merle Paine of Milwaukee, WI, Richard Paine and his wife, Julie, of Cameron, James Paine and his wife, Evelyn Strassburg, of Hayward, WI, Donald Paine of Herker Heights, TX, and Joseph Paine of Oconomowoc, WI; six sisters: Patricia Tomkowiak and her husband, Paul, of Eau Claire, Rexetta Halverson and her husband, John, of Menomonie, WI, Dorothy Cook of Almena, WI, Susan Bender and her husband, David, of Rice Lake, WI, Rita Lange and her husband, Harvey, of Toney, AL, and Karen Johnson and her husband, Ed, of Marshall, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
